I also read that the brightness and contract can be changed in format picture- but that changes the color - I am not. Headers are a print feature. They are deliberately faded when you are editing a document (if they are visible at all). When you print the document, they are full strength. So, no, when you are editing in print preview, you can't see the header at full strength. When you are editing the header, the text in the body of the document is likewise dimmed.
